Silver Lining Cafe

Hello again,
I am back.
Recently I visited a small place that was a nice treat. I had some family visiting and a day off so we decided to get some breakfast. We went to The Silver Lining Cafe. It is a privately owned and operated venture which automatically puts it up a notch in my standards as it isn't just some chain hiring whoevers in town. (support small business) It actually can be tricky to find. You could drive past twenty times and not realize that there is a small restaurant in the one spot in the strip with out a night lit sign.
I had the Combo plate number 3. That is the rather banal name for an absolutely wonderful breakfast.
The combo plate has:
2 pieces of french toast
2 eggs
and 2 either strips of bacon or links of sausage (your choice, I went with the bacon)

French Toast:
This was good french toast. It was surprisingly good. They didn't look any better than the slices you get at Village Inn, but they certainly tasted better. They were an inch thick which raises cooking difficulties but they ended up great. They were light and fluffy all the way through. They tasted good enough that I didn't even require syrup. Definitely the second best french toast I have ever had. (mine is my best as it was made for my tastes)
Eggs:
The eggs were fine. They aren't ostrich or Norwegian Blue Parakeet eggs just the standard chicken. They were pretty good. They aren't special but the cooks will however make them any way you so desire. If you like eggs alot then you will enjoy these immensely.
Bacon:
This was really good bacon. It tasted different than normal bacon like one gets... well, anywhere else. It had a slight sweetness and a texture unlike others I have had before. It was straight first of all. The edges were not in sine form. Then the ouside seemed to be crunchy while the inside was chewy. Very good is about all I can say.
The place itself:
The Silver Lining Cafe has a great atmosphere. The moment you walk in the smell of freshly made biscuits hits you. Moments later you are greeted personally by the owner of the cafe. You sit down at the sadly limited table space (there are no more than 10 tables and a diner style bar) and either her or a younger woman takes your orders. The place is well cleaned and still the odor of various breakfast baked goods teases your stomach as you wait for your food to come. You are glad for the teasing when the food comes because it is delicious. You eat drink and feel merry until you must leave.
