Hello all this time I went to Old Peking. It is quite a place.
Eggrolls:
This is not the place to go for eggrolls. They are edible to be certain but they do not taste anywhere near as good as other ones i have had.
Tekkamaki- Tekka role:
This is a roll containing tuna. This however is not a tuna roll. It is a tuna roll taken to a whole new level. This tastes incredible. If you like tuna rolls this roll will make you s**t yourself.
Moo-Shu Chicken:
Moo-shu Chicken is chicken sliced with a veggie medley then served with the Chinese version of tortillas and a dish of plum sauce. This time it wasn't as good as last time but it still beats any other moo-shu chicken in town. This stuff was good. It is made from things i don't particularly like into something that is delicious.
Beef and Bell Pepper:
The name says it. It is beef, bell peppers, and onions combined into a plate of delicious. The recipe is nothing special but it is very well cooked.
Rice:
Most people say rice is rice is rice. I say that the differences in rice can change how good a meal is overall. The rice at Old Peking is quite good. It tops out at about 2nd to 3rd best.
Decor and atmosphere:
The place is purest white. The walls inside and out are pure white. The walls inside though have some excellent paintings from China. The atmosphere is also excellent. It is almost always dead silent so you can have a conversation without raising your voice to overcome the annoying people at the next table. It always smells clean but not in the bad stinks like soap and sanitizer way. Everything is well cleaned.
SPECIAL NOTE:
This place has one characteristic that sets it well above all other Chinese restaurants i have eaten at. The food is PURE. I cannot stress this strongly enough. You can taste the lack of chemicals. It is just that incredibly pure.
